Kristin Varner

grew up in the Rocky Mountains of Salt Lake City, Utah. As a youngster she liked to doodle and ride her big wheel. In the 2nd grade as a birthday tribute, her class proclaimed her to be, “a good artist“ and that’s when her career really took off.

Kristin received her BFA in Illustration from Rhode Island School of Design and has created artwork for children’s books, magazines, toys, apparel and other products. Kristin is a member of the SCBWI and lives on a wooded island across the waters from Seattle, WA with her husband and daughter.
